TalentSource Life Sciences, the division of CROMSOURCE dedicated to flexible staffing solutions, is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Specialist to join our client-based team. This is for one of the leading global biopharmaceutical companies, with a focus on Neurology and Immunology.

This is a permanent, office based position in the Berkshire area, with some flexibility to work from home 2 days per week after the initial induction period. We can consider Freelancers but this role will fall within IR35 .

The Supply Chain Specialist will contribute to the efficient operation of UK & Ireland business objectives and vision by ensuring that Supply Chaim Management processes determined at group level are followed and implemented locally whilst considering local characteristics and regulations.

Job specific tasks and responsibilities:
  • Lead monthly meetings with appropriate local stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Controlling, Regulatory, QA and Customer Services.
  • Manage the forecasting tool according to the decisions made in the local meetings.
  • Manage the Forecast and planning of local products, raising purchase orders to local CMOs and Strategic Suppliers.
  • Coordinate Supply Chain aspects of launching of phase in - phase out products, new product launches, (early) patients' programs and provide information needed for tenders.
  • Coordinate the deliveries providing the proper information to assure the right flow and avoiding issues
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate any potential shortages or items at risk. Periodical physical inventory checks at facilities.
  • Account reconciliation and control of invoices, prices, follow-up the differences to avoid discrepancies.
  • Coordinate import/export transactions and release of products (temp loggers, deviations, release, ….).
  • Manage returns from customers and coordinate with Sales and QA.
  • Support the management of Risk Assessment for CMOs/Strategic Suppliers/Carriers.
  • Monitor interfaces and review daily reports.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of vendor's details in SAP.
  • Evolve and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for supply chain processes and systems, and additional reports used across the organization.
  • Responsible for proper application of SOPs in shipments, receptions, consumptions, regulations ensuring the compliance of the appropriate rules.
  • Proper fulfilment of GDPs and checking timely local Carriers KPIs. Support QA with the validation and audit of local carriers.
  • Local transport management into an efficient environment and maximizing savings.
  • Management of complaints and deviations related to supply chain (damaged or missing pieces, temperature excursions…) in the appropriate tool.
  • Follow up of supply chain KPIs and maintenance of the KPI tool.
  • Support local projects on top of global requests.
  • Cost of good control.
  • Manage day to day actions for products for which a stock allocation scheme is active (implement and monitor allocation decisions).
  • Support the management of Customer Service activities.
  • Respond to the Finance Team and outsourced queries.
  • Attend Local Change Control Committee (CCC) meetings as and when required.


Education, Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Previous experience with Supply Chain in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology field


Skills & Knowledge:
  • Good accountancy knowledge
  • High level of organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Ability to solve issues in an efficient and compliant way
  • Ability to collect, analyse and act on data to allow better decision making
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize workload
  • Good knowledge of distribution environment. Third Party Logistic.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to network across many different departments both within the affiliate and abroad.
  • Able to produce high quality reports with minimal errors.
  • Good English knowledge. Spanish would be beneficial.
  • Familiar with SAP R/3 (SD, MM)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, in particular Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
