Senior Medical Advisor

Madrid, SPAIN

For an International Pharma company, located in Madrid, TalentSource Life Sciences is looking for an experienced Medical Advisor.

The Medical Advisor will provide medical expertise and scientific advice on the various clinical trials and also support senior management and contribute to the development of the medical strategy.

This is a permanent, full-time and office-based role in Madrid, Spain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide scientific support to internal stakeholders
  • Develop and execute the medical affairs strategic plan and activities
  • Design or provide input/ advisory to the design of a clinical trial by taking into account all pertinent specifications
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of cross-functional clinical processes including data management, biostatistics, medical writing, drug safety, and regulatory affairs
  • Provide medical insights and share highlights to internal commercial team
  • Provide disease training to commercial team on a regular basis, if needed
  • Responsible for Medical Information to Competent authorities
  • Provide technical and strategical information for new products and assess their likely impact on the market
  • Generate medical response for medical enquiries
  • Contribute to the Company representation to the scientific, regulatory and academic communities and participate in national and international congresses and symposia
  • Coordinate and conduct medical review for promotional material review process
  • Literature review


Education/Experience:

  • Medical Degree preferred. Completed degree in human medicine with doctorate and clinical activity. Experience in the analysis of medical-scientific studies
  • Alternatively PhD in natural sciences or pharmacy, and proven scientific activity
  • Professional experience - Sufficient scientific experience, understanding of the scientific environment coupled with strong communication skills to be accepted as equal in exchange with leading scientists. Previous experience as Medical Advisor required
  • Subject-specific knowledge Gynecology mandatory and Probiotics would be a plus
    • Demonstrated communication and formal presentation skills
    • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of drug development, ICH-GCP and EU regulations
    • Able to translate technical clinical, regulatory and medical data into clearly defined and understandable strategy/policy documents
    • Proven relationship building skills with key opinion leaders
    • Proficiency in English
