CMC Consultant - Ocular Products   (field based - UK / Central Europe)

This is an opportunity for an experienced Formulation CMC Manager to join a drug development firm on a contract basis to oversee the manufacturing activities (both internal activities and external with CMO / Vendors) and to provide early technical troubleshooting where necessary.

You will interact closely with colleagues in the UK and the US to provide a pivotal link between R&D processing and CMC manufacturing in both pre-clinical and clinical formulation stage.

Projects will include the development of manufacturing processes for the various stages of drug development of Ocular treatments and therefore, experience of these types of products is highlight desired.

You will provide guidance and direction of various development techniques & methods as well and process scale-up and oversight of the CMC activities outsourced to vendors / CMO's in various global locations.

Prior experience of providing support with the selection & oversight of CMO firms will be beneficial and you will also take part in GMP audits. 

This exciting role has a broad scope of responsibilities that also includes involvement and oversight of the supplies chain activities of drug substances and working with colleagues analytical development in the generation of new materials (GMP).
