Project lab operations Engineer

Big Pharma in Belgium/ Flemish region

Within the analytical lab for the support group we are looking for a Project lab operations engineer who will join a team where the focus is on equipment. The team consists of 10 people with a nice group atmosphere. They are looking for someone who wants to give commitment for a longer period. In 2020, a few more analysts will be added who will work together with project engineers.

The support group has internal labs that can contact Support with various questions. This makes it customer focus, communication, and assertiveness very important. As project lab operations engineers, they will cooperate in the move to a new lab in 2020. Project is linked to qualifying new equipment for new lab as well as applications in production. The equipment and application we are talking about are: spectrophotometers, dosimeters C Diff, UV in FCC, GC, HPLC, UPLC, balances, FTRs, ...

Location : Belgium - Flemish region

Rate : up to 600 € per day

Contract : 6-12 Months + (extendable )

The Support group can be divided into 2 parts:

  • Project role (new devices / software upgrades
  • Operational role (maintenance, equipment broken, helpdesk system)

General tasks:

  • Selection and purchase of new equipment
  • Determining qualification, following up on system qualification (IQ, PQ, OQ), delivery of documentation in line with Regulatory & Compliance
  • Explanation of processes and procedures for audits
  • Provide technical support with questions, problems, defects
  • Participation in the QMS system team

Expected competencies:

  • Qualify someone with experience in lab equipment
  • Someone who has technical expertise and can provide support.
  • Someone who has worked in GMP environment.
  • Someone who is highly analytical (calculations).
  • Qualifications: Master's Degree profile e.g. pharmacist, bio engineer chemistry, biochemistry, industrial engineer chemistry / biochemistry
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Level Junior (1.5 years to 2 years work experience)
  • Senior is an option

Personality:

  • Stress resistant (workload can vary, situations that cannot be planned)
  • Team player who can support colleagues
  • Communicative (necessary for communication with the labs and technicians)
  • Flexible in planning
  • Analytical mind
