Global Medical Affairs Lead: Neurology/CNS

My client is a global leading pharma company in Germany looking for an expert in CNS medical affairs to start the growth of the global medical affairs team.  Currently there is no medical affairs infrastructure in place, which means you will be responsible for the continued growth and development of both assets and new hires.

  • In your new role, you design and lead the Global Medical Affairs strategic initiatives, working in cross-functional groups such as Clinical Development, Pharmacovigilance, Epidemiology, Scientific Affairs, Marketing, Communications and Outcomes Research.
  • Furthermore, you interact with key healthcare providers to exchange scientific and medical ideas, including advisory boards and presentations at international meetings.
  • With your expertise, you coordinate phase IIIb trials and "Investigator-Initiated Studies" from a scientific, medical and strategic perspective.
  • Moreover, you provide scientific and medical input to publication strategy and planning, reviewing manuscripts also is part of your business routine.
  • Additionally, you collaborate with commercial organizations and provide scientific input for the development and review of promotional materials, documents and presentations for the assigned drugs and/or indications.
  • Utilizing your networking skills, you initiate and build collaborations with local Medical Affairs in other countries and thereby ensure the seamless knowledge transfer and the integration of local knowledge and needs.

Requirements

  • Medical degree, with expert knowledge of CNS/Psychiatry/Mental Disorders
  • Board Certified Psychiatrist desirable
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry in medical affairs CNS as well as in clinical research
  • Ability to interpret scientific and clinical trial data
  • Successful track record in planning, conducting and publishing basic science and/or clinical research
  • Strategic thinking and ability to work effectively in cross functional teams
  • Good presentation, training and facilitation skills
  • Strong written and oral communications skills in English
