Position Overview

The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Manager is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the HCM application and ensuring the accuracy of the data flowing in and out of the system. The HRIS Manager will oversee a variety of complex technical functions related to user security, process workflows, functionality deployment, reporting automation, and system integrations.

Please note this is not an IT based role and backgrounds based in IT will not be considered.

Specific tasks would include:
  • Hands on experience with Workday, including implementation of modules is required
  • Optimize HCM platform by assessing existing processes, evaluating system functionality and implementing a strategic roadmap
  • Develop, maintain and enhance user security to allow for improved employee self-service and manager self-service while maintaining sensitive HR data
  • Ensure / improve data integrity through the implementation of automated reconciliation reporting and regular monitoring of data inputs and output reporting
  • Document and streamline existing processes and workflows
  • Collaborate with internal system administrators to enhance or develop system integrations; implement external integrations with third party vendors as needed to improve overall efficiency and accuracy of data exchanges
  • Performs data updates, exports, imports, clean-ups, and researches/reports on any discrepancies; maintains and audits data in HR systems and ensures information is available on a timely basis
  • Partner with business leaders to define and develop system requirements and improve processes
  • Serves as the subject matter expert and super user for HCM platform and applies knowledge to maintain effective system utilization and accuracy
  • Provide overall project management for all HRIS projects, implementations, designs and deployments
  • Develop materials to effectively train end-users on how to use HR systems

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field of study
  • 5+ years related experience; 2+ years Workday experience within a smaller organization
  • Substantial knowledge of HRIS, specifically Workday
  • Working knowledge of business technology integrated with HRIS
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills to evaluate current state, identify opportunities for improvement and develop a roadmap to drive change
  • Exceptional project management skills, time management skills, attention to detail and ability to multi task competing priorities
  • Discretion in dealing with confidential information
  • Ability to manage change through setting realistic expectations and effective communication skills
  • Ability to break down complex concepts and clearly explain them to people at all levels Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
