RWD Business Development Lead

Josh Zarembski is pleased to offer a new opportunity with a well-established pharmaceutical and services organisation. With a team of 8 in place, you will have the advantage of being the first & to present this companies Real World Data services to their existing clients while creating new and prosperous relationships with new investors.

I am looking to speak with Business Development leads with a background working within either a Pharma or CRO company. The position will be home-based until January 2020 (due to COVID-19) following this will be office based 2-3 day a week, also offering remote flexibility

 Key Responsibilities

  • Support revenue growth goals for Real World Data delivery and achieve individual targets.
  • Develop and support the Business Development team in the delivery of key messaging and positioning of the RWD service
  • Responsible for supporting the sales process for MAPs by ensuring strong positioning of RWD capability and delivery
  • Support RFI and RFP process for RWD offerings across the Unlicensed (UL) Division
  • Support with contracting and pricing of RWD elements for UL
  • Develop and maintain  RWD demo database, ensuring an optimal technical solution can be visualized by customers
  • In conjunction with the Business Development team, develop key materials for sales meetings including but not limited to platform demonstrations customized for an opportunity, develop RWD value proposition for each opportunity, creation of additional sales materials as required
  • Support RWD element of Consulting services for key opportunities
  • Identify opportunities/target assets that would benefit from RWD collection and in conjunction with business development team convert opportunity to award.
  • Responsible for input and periodic review of RFI database associated with digital solutions/RWD
  • Ensure robust handover to RWD Specialist for successful delivery to ensure solution leads to high customer satisfaction

Customer Service:

  • Support operational teams in the set up and delivery of RWD solutions for UL
  • Work with internal stakeholders to support client needs as required (including attendance at client meetings and calls)
  • Develop and deliver periodic RWD training for internal stakeholder groups
  • Own internal reporting and metrics associated with RWD

Strategy and RWD service development

  • Collect customer feedback on RWD/digital solutions to identify areas for improvement /enhancements
  • Attend conferences and during webinars to gain and develop corporate insight into progression of RWD in this industry
  • Act as SME on RWD and digital platform to support future product development, strategy and positioning of offering

Role Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in relevant life sciences or business field
  • Health Economic and Outcome Research (HEOR) experience / knowledge is essential for this role
  • Demonstrable experience of working with EDC / RWD platforms
  • Experience in RWD, Business Development support and customer consulting is advantageous for this role
  • Previous experience of providing platform demos and the ability to explain technical solutions to highlight key functions and differentiators to a customer base is highly preferred
  • Proactive, solutions driven attitude, with a sense of drive to scope out business opportunity and forge new relationships;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to engage senior level customer decision makers and influencers at a global level
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to define and scope service propositions
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with global teams as well as work effectively on an independent basis
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to internal and external working environments and business goals
  • Resilience, tenacity and ownership of delivering results and expected outcomes
  • Ability to learn new systems and function in an evolving technical environment
  • Demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail
  • Comfortable with global travel, if required
