Clinical Research Physician – Ophthalmology

Do you want to drive the development and commercialization of solutions that will provide treatment to patients with little or no alternate options?

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development within ophthalmic clinical development
• Overseeing clinical trial set-up activities:
• Author, review, and approve the clinical trial protocol within the specified timelines.
• Managing clinical trial activities:
• Perform medical review and safety analysis of clinical trial subjects, ensure comprehensive medical monitoring, thorough and timely responses to address site issues and eligibility questions.
• Managing Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reporting process:
• Interaction with the medical community
• Ensure timely interaction with the clinicians, advocacy groups and other experts

Requirements

• Medical Doctor with research experience is required.
• Formal training or additional study within ophthalmology / optometry 
• A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in clinical research within the pharmaceutical industry or academia (such as clinical fellowship or junior faculty member)
• Good oral, written, and presentation skills (including report development) in English and German are required.
