Hobson Prior are looking for a Director Pharmaceutical Liaison for an exciting international career in a multicultural environment at a rare diseases organisation who are focused on accelerating the development of new orphan drugs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams of over 50 people (3 direct reports) within Clinical Data Management.
  • Ensuring the alignment of Business Development with Clinical Lab Operations Knowledge of regulations impacting Medical Affairs and field activities in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Medical data evaluation and Pharmaceutical liaison with laboratory programs Budget and personnel management.
  • Working closely with Quality Management to assure highest quality of documentation Serving as the operational lead.
  • Key point of contact with pharmaceutical Partner Close interaction with the clinical study team.
  • A member of the Germany based leadership team accountable for building strong teams and strategic support to the business development team.
  • Support developing project plans to improve the interaction with pharmaceutical partners especially in the operational interaction with the laboratory.
  • You will provide leadership on pharmaceutical interaction regarding management/strategy at international level.
  • Facilitation and execution of collaboration projects with pharmaceutical partners Essential Qualifications.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully achieving results through effective collaboration and x-functional partnership and alignment.
  • Proven track record of delivering results that meet or exceed targets and objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Very good command of written and spoken English, German- any further language is an advantage.


  • Doctorate degree in medical or life sciences.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in leadership position.
  • A previous leading position in large, preferably international companies with a focus on large customer flows.
  • Deep understanding of broad spectrum of human diagnostics processes.
  • Willing to relocate to Rostock.
  • Strong in-depth clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge in complex disease state.
  • Travel requirements: willing to travel about 10% of the time.
