You’re a seasoned drug discovery scientist and leader. You got into the industry to discover and develop the medicines of tomorrow. You like novel problems that don’t have a defined solution, particular when it comes to identifying new targets, and you’d love to work on them for a company of seasoned experts.
We’re working with a cutting edge immunometabolism biotech company in Oxford whose fresh approach has the potential to tackle some of healthcare’s most challenging conditions, including cancer and autoimmune disorders.
Founded by recognised leaders in the field of immunology, extremely well-funded and with an experienced management team who bring a track record of taking compounds into the clinic and to the market, this is an ideal place to deliver cutting edge science that will impact the lives of millions.
Right now, they’re looking for a New Targets Leader to join the team. You’ll be driving the identification of new drug targets to deliver novel programs, leading collaborations with academic institutions and other external partners and providing scientific leadership to the organisation.
You’ll also manage and lead a small team of experienced scientists, while sitting on the company’s leadership team and contributing to the overall strategy of the business.
If you’re the right person for this role, you’ll be an experienced discovery scientist, team leader and project manager, with a track record of success in leading early discovery projects and new target identification. You’ll have an excellent understanding of immunology and metabolic pathways, and be comfortable working in collaboration with other organisations.
