About the role

Reporting to the VP Global Sales, the Senior Director of Sales, APAC will be responsible for driving Abcam revenues within APAC and Japan. The region currently generates c. £40million and the Senior Director of Sale's key objective will be to increase market penetration. The Senior Director of Sales, APAC will be responsible for setting and implementing a regional strategy as well as deploying the resources and activities required to achieve Abcam's growth ambitions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for annual & quarterly achievement of total revenue for the region across Abcam's portfolio of products, solutions and services

  • Leadership and management responsibility for key account management, inside sales, field application/technical sales and regional marketing

  • Provide input and deliver on regional revenue and opex forecast

  • Help to implement and end to end sales operating models that is scalable

About you
You will have experience working in solution science-based selling within the life science market. You will have excellent communication skills with a proven track record of building meaningful and strong relationships with internal and external customers. A strong track record of driving revenue growth, utilising both distributors and direct sales channels. You will have a strategic business acumen with the ability to develop successful go to market and growth strategies, within highly competitive markets. The Senior Director of Sales, APAC will be a proven leader with the ability to nurture and grow a first-class team. A MSc or PhD in Biology or a related field is advantageous.
