Nephrology Medical Manager – EU
West London based
Salary £85,000 - £100,000
Could be based in any EU country.
Are you an expert in kidney disease looking for a great above country role in medical affairs? If so I’d love to speak with you about an opportunity to join a company that is making a significant investment in the disease area.
You’d be joining a high caliber medical team working at a European level under the remit of an exceptional medical leader. Having been through a significant period of change and optimisation the company is well placed to capitalise on an expanding portfolio of novel therapeutics in the nephrology space.
In many respects, this is a classic example of an above country medical manager role. You’d be working at a strategic level ensuring that the global strategy for your portfolio of products is implemented effectively at a regional level as well as lending your expertise on a more functional basis to affiliates within the region.
Examples of responsibilities include;
- Defining and shaping the medical plan for the Nephrology portfolio for the region working closely with a wide range of colleagues in a cross-functional, matrix capacity.
- Driving and managing the medical aspects of advisory boards, congresses, and symposia.
- In an ideal world, you will also be able to act as a medical final signatory
- You’ll be recognised as the product and disease areas specialist both within the business and externally by customers and KOLs.
You’d be joining the business at a pivotal point as it pertains to their nephrology products. There is significant activity in the area with product launches imminent as well as ongoing work around the existing portfolio. If you’re expert in and passionate about kidney disease you’d be joining a business that is expecting to be a leader in Nephrology and you’d be a key contributor to that success.
I have one very specific requirement for the role – the other areas are subject to flexibility contingent on this.
The key and absolutely non-negotiable experience I’m looking for is a high level of expertise in kidney disease. I’m afraid that this is not an opportunity for someone to cross-train into a new therapeutic area and you’ll absolutely be coming to the table with defined, well-established proficiency in the area.
It’s likely that you’ll have a solid background in medical affairs and if you’re a final signatory or on the journey to becoming one this would be a huge asset.
If you don’t have a background in medical affairs I can consider people with a clinical research background or indeed a non-industry experienced clinician with great nephrology experience who is actively seeking a move to an industry medical role.
For the right applicant, this could be an incredible opportunity to use your expertise to make a real difference. The role is a high visibility position within the company and you’d be making a fundamental difference to the success of upcoming launches.
It’s also worth stressing the quality of the team you’d be joining. The people here are of a notably high caliber, both in terms of their expertise and character. You’d be well supported, valued, and recognised.
I regret that for this role I’ll be unable to consider applicants without an existing right to live and work in the UK.
If this sounds interesting and you’d like to know more it would be great to hear from you.
