You'll negotiate major contracts and set the strategic direction for procurement within Worldwide. Ultimately this role will improve on our targeted EBITDA both in the short and longer term.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tasks may include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead major contract negotiations with vendors & suppliers as identified by Department leaders.
- Deliver EBITDA improvements through negotiated savings and rebates
- Manage and forecast rebate tracking & reporting
- Develop performance metrics to ensure responsible department deliver anticipated value for money from vendors & suppliers
- Develop the strategic framework for departments to identify value for money vendors and suppliers
- Develop policies and procedures for the selection of suppliers
- Develop and manage a Procurement calendar focused on driving short and longer-term savings
- Develop and maintain external benchmark for both the organization and for specific vendors & spend categories
- Create procurement framework, including sourcing strategy, sourcing execution and supplier relationship management based on overall global procurement objectives, supply market dynamics and rigorous analytics.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Experience in pharmaceutical, clinical trials, or other relevant medical fields are advantageous but not essential.
- Demonstrable experience of leading significant contract negotiations that deliver increasing value for money and real EBITDA improvements
- Experience of developing ROI modelling for procurement activity
- Familiarity with spend analysis, requirements planning, risk management, market analysis, strategy development, competitive bidding (RFP), supplier negotiations, supplier selection, contracting, supplier management, cost savings methodology, performance reporting, and proficiency with sourcing tools.
- Understanding of balance sheet and budgeting
- Experience of implementing a Value for Money culture throughout the whole organization with a focus on driving 3-year EBITDA
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/BA degree in a related area
- 10+ years of corporate procurement experience
- Ideally experience with Pharmaceuticals or CRO
Promotion to the next level is not automatic based on years of experience. Personnel are evaluated on proven competency, level of responsibility, and ability to work independently.
