Vectura has a fantastic opportunity for a senior pharmaceutical manufacturing professional to join and lead our Manufacturing and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams based in Chippenham.

What we are looking for

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, as Director of Manufacturing & NPI, you'll be responsible for delivering Vectura's commercial manufacturing capability, ensuring it aligns with corporate strategy objectives.

You'll provide leadership in developing and driving a culture of operational excellence, agility and continuous improvement to deliver quality compliant, technically robust commercial products. You’ll take the lead on development and GMP product manufacturing activities that meet current and future needs and maximise business opportunities. You'll work closely with selected external vendors, including CMOs, while scaling up Vectura’s in-house manufacturing capability.

You'll manage teams across both New Product Introduction and Manufacturing, providing leadership, coaching and mentoring. You’ll be an advocate of talent development and internal succession, growing employee capability and enhancing employee engagement.

Developing partnerships with key stakeholders and teams across the organisation, including Business Development and Pharmaceutical Development, will support Vectura’s mission to deliver inhaled therapy technologies that improve patients’ lives.

What you need

To be considered for the post of Director of Manufacturing & NPI, you'll be degree-educated in a scientific or engineer subject and have a demonstrable record of accomplishment in pharmaceutical new product introduction and GMP product manufacturing.

You'll be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership and people management skills to develop and deliver operational excellent and continuous improvement. You'll be knowledgeable of ISO/MDR/GMP standards, ideally with experience of medical devices and inhalation devices.

You'll be results-driven and have a proven ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders and third-party vendors. As a proven problem solver, you'll find solutions to complex problems while managing ambiguity and driving change.
