It's an exciting time to join our growing Laboratory Animal Technology team in Eye, Suffolk. We are looking for Animal FacilityAssistants' to join the weekend team to assist colleagues with providing exceptional levels of welfare, husbandry and exercise to the animals in our care.



Animal Facility Assistants' work both Saturdays and Sundays and receive excellent rates of pay along with industry leading training and development opportunities. Many of our full time employees started their careers as Animal Facility Assistants and have progressed to become senior team members and managers.



As an Animal Facility Assistant at Covance your main responsibilities will be:
  • Daily welfare checks
  • Provision of adequate fresh food and water
  • Providing animals with environmental enrichment through play and exercise
  • Ensuring enclosures are cleaned in accordance with clear instructions and maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness

Education/Qualifications:
Basic Literacy and Numeracy skills
Experience:
The skills and experience we're looking for are:
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn, and the capability to develop the requisite skills
  • Previous experience of working with or looking after animals
