Communications Specialist - GLOBAL PHARMA - GREAT RATE!!

My client is a global pharmaceutical company and they are looking for an enthusiastic Communication Specialist. They work in both human and animal health and specialise in several of therapeutic areas such as Cardiovascular, Oncology, Immunology, Diabetes and many more. This year we placed an average of 20 contractors with the client and over half of those contractors have been offered permanent positions. My client offers great training programmes even for contractors and their renowned for their family orientated work culture.

Location: on site in Hoddesdon

Start: ASAP

Length: 12 months

FTE: 1.0, (37.5 hours per week)

Role Overview:

Communications or public relations specialists create and maintain positive relationships between their clients and the public often using media outlets. They produce press releases and manage public events.

Role Responsibilities:

· Monitoring and providing support across the range of political and policy environments in which the client operates, keeping senior leaders and managers up to date on and aware of key issues and developments relevant to the client and the healthcare market.

· Assisting the Policy, Communications and Government Relations Team in providing political and policy counsel across the business and the External Affairs team

· Provide support and coordination on industry group engagement including the Association of British Pharmaceutical Association (ABPI), American Pharmaceutical Group (APG) as well as other industry group activities.

Role Requirements:

· Life science or Public affairs Bachelors’ Degree

· Some experience of working within a policy or public affairs department or agency and ideally, within the pharmaceutical and/or health sector

· Available to start immediately
