This role is based in our new modern state of the art office in Nottingham city centre which has excellent transport links and has a great working environment and the feel of an innovative and c ollaborative technology company.

As the Senior Business Analyst - VM, you will work under the guidance of the Vendor Management Function within the PI Business Office, working with multiple areas across Parexel, including Product Management, Procurement, Business Development, the Portfolio group, operations, infrastructure and engineering in relation to processes that influence and achieve Technology Lifecycle Management.

You will assist with establishing the vendor management function, through gathering of requirements, defining functional characteristics, selecting and configuring technology to support the vendor management function and defining or amending processes in multiple areas of the business again to support the function. In addition, it will include management of the vendor relationships, ensuring PXL gains maximum benefit from any vendor relationship and technology provided by them.

Key Accountabilities:

Business Analysis
- Investigates operational needs and problems, and opportunities, contributing to the recommendation of improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes and organisation.

Business Process Improvement
- Analyses business processes; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility, and recommends new approaches. Contributes to evaluating the factors which must be addressed in technology management.

Relationship management
- Implements stakeholder engagement/ communications plans, including, for example; handling of complaints; problems and issues; managing resolutions; corrective actions and lessons learned; collection and dissemination of relevant information.
- Uses feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management.
- Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.

Requirements Definition and Management
- Uses established techniques as directed to identify current problems and elicit, specify and document business functional, data and non-functional requirements for simple subject areas with clearly-defined boundaries.
- Assists in more complex requirements activities and with the processes for establishing agreed baselines for change and managing the assessment and application of requested changes to those requirements.

Qualifications

Education:
- Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Science field would be beneficial but not essential.

Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning
- Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail.
- Shows Initiative and self-confidence, is adaptable and is able to cope with changing and evolving priorities.
- Must have the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

Knowledge and Experience:
- Understanding of Agile methodologies (preferably Scrum), UML, Object Orientated, Data Modeling, Process Modeling and/or other development methodologies
- Awareness of structured approach to test planning and test execution.
- In depth knowledge of user experience methods and tools, including workflow design and functional definition applied to a user/client-facing context.
- Experience of COTS & technical products and activities relating to their on-boarding
