This role can be based at either our UK Head Office situated in Uxbridge or our technology office in Nottingham. The role will also cater for home based working. Both offices are in central locations and near to the train stations as well as the town/city centre. Both offices are open planned and have the feel of an innovative and collaborative environment.

As the Product Consultant - Regulatory Solutions you will provide support as directed by line management as well as Business Development Director throughout the sales process. This role is strongly client-facing, with input required into product demonstrations, presentations, meetings and client proposals. You must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users using compelling product demonstrations. The position requires a strong consulting or consultative sales-oriented background with extensive experience in technology solutions supporting Regulatory Operations functions in pharmaceutical organisations.

Key Accountabilities:

RFI RFP Activities
- Responsible for generating, reviewing and updating responses to requirements questions provided by clients
- Responsible for completing and review sections of RFI / RFP responses that pertain to demonstrating and confirming specific features and functionality
- Completing all activities within client and Parexel defined timeframes.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Solution Consulting team to define compelling messaging specific to a clients needs.

Bid Defence Activities
- Review client's use cases and prepare compelling technical demonstrations to the level appropriate to the audience
- Demonstrate with a high level of quality and skill the technical demonstrations, ensuring that all the client use cases are covered
- Work with the Solution Consultant to generate client facing material including Bid Defence hand-outs in a time sensitive manner.
- Collaborate with Business and IT from clients and prospective clients to understand requirements for use cases
- Deliver effective and compelling demonstrations to show how Parexel RIM technology meets a clients' needs

POC / Demonstration Activities
- Prepare, maintain and update software for the purpose of providing demonstrations on multiple formats
- Be self-contained and able to work under pressure
- Conduct extended technical sessions with prospective clients in the form of workshops, pilots, proof of concept, evaluations etc
- Attend industry events and trade shows to provide product demonstrations and support to prospective and existing clients
- Effectively communicate the usage, benefits, and returns with utilization of proposed software solutions
- Deliver a positive, memorable and meaningful service which exceeds the expectations of both the internal and external customer.

Intelligence
- As far as possible understand and keep up to date with competitive product and technology
- Maintain a currency of knowledge of the RIM business, understand trends and be able to articulate that to product management and business development
- Have an ability to understand and articulate internally and to clients and prospective clients how innovations in technology can be used within Parexel's technology stack.

Qualifications

Education:
- A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other technology related field

Skills:
- Proven track record in consulting or software sales and knowledge of technology
- Effective in dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base
- Exemplary presentation skills and the ability to communicate articulately and professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs and when submitting reports
- Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
- Able to meet tight deadlines, follow up on commitments, and take action wherever appropriate
- Good team leading ability and managing additional technical resources for meeting the account needs
- Able to travel extensively within Europe and globally
- High technical aptitude to understand and educate on full product suite
- Ability to present software solutions to large audiences with various degrees of technical experience
- English - fluent or native
- Preferably fluent in other EU main Languages such as German
- Requires an extensive technical expert with the ability to present a sophisticated user facing software product to groups of end users and high-level technical and corporate managers.
- Basic technical capability with Microsoft OS Platforms, SharePoint, Internet Explorer, HTML, Adobe PDF, and basic networking concepts
- The ability to set up and maintain client/server hardware and software, LAN & WAN configurations would be advantageous

Knowledge and Experience:
- Strong progressive experience working within customer-facing technical or technical sales oriented position
- Understanding of Life Sciences regulatory standards or Drug Development processes is essential
- Knowledge of document management, registration tracking, or publishing solutions is preferred
- The successful candidate will possess strong technical sales experience with a business background or exposure to the pharmaceutical industry, a clinical trials environment or technology sales is essential.
- Successful candidates will ideally possess experience with regulatory information management or relevant healthcare industry experience in a medium to large biopharmaceutical company or contract research organization
- Prior experience with DMS, RIM and publishing technology is preferred
- Experience and familiarity of the Company's products is a plus
- Experience and familiarity of Regulatory Operations, Regulatory Affairs and /or Clinical Trials is a plus
