Pharmaceutical Project Manager

Hobson Prior are currently working with a rapidly growing trans-Atlantic pharmaceutical company in Saffron Walden. They are looking for a CMC Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis and will provide project management and operational leadership to the Senior Management Team.

Job Responsibilities:

• You will ensure continuous improvement of internal processes and implementation of new measures where needed.
• Communications around the company to ensure any Operational issues that affect strategy are resolved.
• Project Management input to the portfolio management and resource planning for projects.
• You will provide manufacturing and Project Management input for the strategic development of the business.
• Project management - writing project plans, preparing project budgets, organising meetings, ensuring work is progressing to plan and budget, identify and work with contractors, leading project meetings and team communications.
• Manage external contracted project - develop a new formulation and take it through Phase 2 clinical trials, manufacture process development of active ingredient through to commercial supply and research programmes for new intellectual property.
• Work with the group to maintain documentation of the Operations team, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date in preparation for Regulatory filing.

Key Skills:

• IT skills including the use of MS Project, MS Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to think through and resolve problems.
• Excellent organisation and planning skills.
• Good communication.

Requirements:

• Biological or chemical degree.
• BSc, PhD optional depending on experience.
• Managing projects in an area of Pharmaceutical R&D, possibly with experience in one of the following or similar areas: manufacturing, chemistry, Quality, regulatory, pharmacy.
• Experience of working on projects with external organisation.
