Senior Director, Business Development - Biologics CDMO - Europe

I am working in collaboration with a science driven, fast paced biologics/cell and gene CDMO to bring on board a Senior Director, Business Development onto their European team. The main purpose of this position is to establish, grow and manage sales for the company’s biomanufacturing services. You will be responsible for acquiring and developing relationships and new opportunities for selling biologics drug discovery and development services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and execute business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy
• Revenue generation and development and management of strategic partnerships
• Confidently negotiate and close deals for
• Cultivate relationships, manage accounts and secure opportunities for selling the company’s drug discovery stand-alone and integrated services as well as preformulation/formulation development
• Maintain accurate and accessible tailored presentations / proposals / agreements/ updates to meet client needs
• Represent the company at industry events and tradeshows with professional manner and polished appearance to gain new business leads and contacts
• Assist in the creation of the company’s marketing literature and advertisements
• Travel up to 50%

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years experience within the pharmaceutical and life science industry
• Minimum of 8 years experience within a sales and account management role
• Extensive knowledge of the biologics CDMO market place
• Experience within a biologics/cell and gene therapy CDMO.
• Bench work experience
• BSc in Chemistry/Biochemistry or an equivalent degree, PhD is desired
