Laboratory Technician

Role: Laboratory Technician

Location: Brussels area, Belgium

One of our top clients who is a global leader in the pharmaceutical sector, is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join their growing team. You will be responsible for formulating all products according to SOPs and regulatory standards, ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory and processing clinical samples.

Responsibilities:

• Handling and processing clinical samples according to protocols and regulations
• Following up with samples and working within restricted timescales
• Communicating effectively with the laboratory team and project leads
• Performing necessary maintenance, calibration and operation of equipment and devices
• Routine checks and procedures for the efficient operation of the laboratory
• Preparation of growth media, buffers, cell culture and other duties.
• Inventory control - proactively manage laboratory stock, replenish devices and supporting materials to support the smooth running of operations.
• Cleaning and disinfection in line with schedule, using approved disinfectant agents and techniques to reduce and control microbiological risk.
• Compounding extemp preparations as per SOPs.
• Quality Directives - Work to the company quality directives supporting compliance and risk managed processes.

Experience:

• Fluent French or Dutch and good level of English
• At least 1 year laboratory technician experience
• Life science degree or education is ideal but experience is far more important.
