Diabetes Outcome Director - Kent, Surrey & Sussex

Our client's vision is to be the world's leading diabetes care company, and aspiration is to defeat diabetes by finding better methods of diabetes prevention, detection and treatment. They have the broadest diabetes product portfolio in the industry and a leading position within areas such as haemostasis management, growth hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy.

They are currently seeking an exceptionally talented Diabetes Outcome Director in the South of the UK.

In this field based role, you will be working with your local Area Business Manager and Regional Medical Advisor demonstrating exceptional cross functional collaboration to deliver the business in your local health economy. You will be responsible for achieving market and patient access for pre and post-launch products within the local health economies.

Market Access will be achieved by securing new/improved formulary positioning for your brands and also by flawless execution of the national Market Access strategy at a project level. Successful projects will involve helping shape the local healthcare environment through the development and implementation of integrated care pathways and bringing together non-clinical and clinical stakeholders from Clinical Commissioning Groups, Primary Care Networks, STPs, Health and Wellbeing Boards and Local Authorities as we aim to "Change Diabetes."

While working collaboratively with internal stakeholders you will influence key healthcare policy-makers, at the appropriate level, of the value to patients and the NHS of prescribing and funding the portfolio of medicines.

You will also work with the local NHS to demonstrate outcomes and value of both products and services based upon local need using value propositions aligned with NHS policies and targets: QIPP, NICE Quality Standards, and Outcomes Framework.

The ideal candidate will be educated to graduate level or equivalent. Preferably with Six Sigma, Prince or equivalent Project Management qualification and ABPI accredited.

You will also have a demonstrable track record of operating within Market Access at a senior level from within the UK Pharmaceutical industry.

A highly competitive salary, bonus and benefits package is available.
