Our International pharmaceutical client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to provide leadership and highly effective project management of all agreed business initiatives across EMEA. Leadership and Management of any future contract resource. High stakeholder engagement across multiple groups to ensure all project deliverables are achieved to business satisfaction. Horizon scanning to ensure future proofing of projects in line with strategic direction of the business. Deputising for the Business Solutions Director, EMEA and management of the entire team during periods of absence of Head of Department.

Main duties and responsibilities:
* Supporting HOD in recruitment of personnel
* Leadership and management of any future contract personnel
* Working closely with HOD to implement departmental high performing team agenda
* Acting as a mentor to departmental colleagues to assist in developing talent
* Strategic planning by liaising with core stakeholders and understanding business direction
* Gathering insights on business initiatives and requirements and aligning projects to achieve economies of scale
* Leadership and management of multiple projects and ensuring delivery of agreed objectives
* Working closely with HOD on budget management and tracking of expenditure
* Deputising and acting as point of contact for the team in the absence of HOD
* Leading the defining and planning of multiple projects
* Delivery of project management program
* Build and implement core components of projects to achieve the desired business outcome
* Development of tools and techniques to improve project management implementation
* Creation of project governance structure: Steering Committee: Project team: Roles and Responsibilities: Meetings schedule
* Activity planning and scheduling
* Evaluating resource requirements and deploying appropriately
* Adoption and delegation of roles to achieve project outcomes
* Maintain overall use of resources and take corrective action where necessary
* Apply change control and configuration management processes
* Management of the agreed project budget and delivery within the budget framework
* Development of Total Cost of Ownership over a five year period
* Creation of all the appropriate documentation to run projects successfully, for eg: URS: RACi: RAID: Project Plan
* Creation of charts and scheduling of activities and tracking to ensure tasks are completed
* Risk analysis and mitigation plan
* Maintenance of issues and risks log
* Directing project team to achieve project goals
* Maintaining detailed knowledge of all aspects of projects and making adaptations to deliver goals
* Development of stakeholder influence maps to engage and strategically influence
* Development of internal communications strategy
* Business partnering to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and receive the relevant communication as required
* Maintain and control quality of projects and quality standards
* Development of business benefits statements and the realisation of those benefits to the organisation
* Prepare project exception reports
* Identification of interdependencies with other projects
* Horizon scanning to future proof initiatives



Skills & Experience required:
* Working knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and project management processes
* Experience in all tools to run projects successfully, for eg: RAID: RACI: URS: Project Plan
* Advanced level of knowledge in Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Previous experience working in a GXP: GMP: GDP or another regulatory environment
* Excellent working knowledge of technical systems essential
* Experience of projects within Electronic Approval, CRM solutions, Reporting systems and Controlled Documents areas highly desirable
* Experience of writing and reviewing Controlled Documents, such as Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Working practices, workflows, guidelines essential
* Proven track record in managing large scale multi-country level projects that realise business benefits
* Leadership and management of people
