PURPOSE

The Local QPPV / PV Affiliate Lead will be the main PoC for the Swiss department, and will represent the local department to global teams.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the local QPPV responsible for overseeing the Swiss PV department and accountable / responsible for major decision making.
  • Provide leadership, strategy, planning, organisational and problem-solving skills to the Pharmacovigilance team
  • Responsible for direct contact and engagement with national competent authorities
  • Provide a sound knowledge of the PV landscape and associated procedures within Switzerland and be able to provide direction to Regional and Global PV teams. 
  • Provide expert knowledge of safety profiles for all marketed products in the Switzerland
  • Participate in external association activities e.g. EFPIA etc. and networking activities. 
  • Maintain and build currency of expertise and promote best practice, knowledge sharing and compliance across the local PV team.
  • Influence the local team and act as a main PoC for the affiliate on a global scale.
  • Lead and deliver PV Projects, recommendations and reporting.

EDUCATION & KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum BA/BS degree (pharmacy, Medical Degree or Biomedical/Life Sciences), preferably with an advanced professional degree in Life sciences and/or MBA qualification
  • Member of professional Pharmacovigilance bodies and/or associations.
  • Significant proven track record of achievements in senior roles including line management of virtual and remote teams, cross cultural working and developing future talent.  Ability to coach and mentor less experienced personnel.
  • Proficiency in German and business English language  (written, verbal, presentation, facilitation)
  • Good communication skills including persuading, influencing including the ability to build and manage close relationships with all relevant stakeholders
