Biomarker Scientist

Hobson Prior are looking for a Biomarker Scientist to join a leading biopharmaceutical company who purely concentrate on neurology and immunology. This position will be on a contract basis located in Slough and will report into the Project Biomarker Lead.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reviewing and contributing to appropriate study level documentation, including protocols, IB, lab manuals, informed consent (global and local) to support biomarker activities across the development programs.
• Participate and contribute to Biomarker Sub team (a multidisciplinary team including members from Translational Biomarkers, Bioanalysis, Non-Clinical Safety and Clinical) and Clinical Team meetings.
• You will ensure that assays to be used for stratified medicine/diagnostic approaches are compliant with Regulatory Authority requirements.
• Oversight of local laboratory implementation of the biomarker analysis strategies possibly including China.
• Represent as the Subject Matter Expert in biomarker technologies and their implementation in Clinical Trials.

• Strong technical and strategic abilities, but also excellent interpersonal skills, particularly within a team environment.

Requirements:

• Relevant Biomedical Sciences Degree.
• Pharmaceutical company experience working in the field of biomarkers and particularly in their successful implementation in clinical development programmes, preferably in Immunology, Rheumatology or other related fields eg Allergy, Dermatology.
• Proven track record of successful contribution to clinical/ scientific projects.
• Detailed understanding and appreciation of the scientific, technical, regulatory, intellectual property and preferably commercial considerations for successful biomarker implementation to drug development programs.
