As newest member of CBD Finance & Group Functions Global Facilities & Engineering (GFE) bundles EHS, Security, Real Estate & Facility Management and Engineering globally, striving to serve BI’s site network as strong infrastructure and business partner.
As member of Global Engineering / Automation you have the chance to serve our partners cross business unites with automation technology. Be part of a growing team and enable the corporation to grow and deliver on upcoming priorities.

In Global Automation we are accountable for a variety of CAPEX projects and technologies across automation domains (e.g., Process-, Factory-, Utilities- & Building Automation).
To enrich our team and to be able to deliver on upcoming demands, we are searching for:

The Senior Manager Automation Projects is overall accountable for successful delivery of managed projects in the area of automation, specifically for successful delivery of the project in time, budget and quality as well as for the planning and coordination of the project.

This position can be filled in Ingelheim or Biberach (Discover our site Biberach: xplorebiberach.com ).

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Preparing and issuing the project strategy, objectives and quality acceptance criteria and ensuring that all the project objectives are met in terms of safety, quality, schedule and cost is part of your new role.
  • You organize, prepare and issue the project procedures and specific plans as required for project execution, ensuring that the project team is performing in accordance with the agreed standards and requirements.
  • In addition, you ensure that project schedules are reviewed and updated on a regular basis to identify where major deviations occur such that appropriate actions can be taken in good time to minimize the effect of potential problems.
  • As Senior Manager Automation Projects you are a single point of contacts for our business units and are also in charge to communicate with necessary suppliers and service providers.
  • You are responsible that every project team member is aware of his or her assignment and associated roles and responsibilities.
  • You organize and conduct effective management and execution of the project to fulfil all the requirements of the project and to achieve the project objectives.
  • As Senior Manager Automation Projects you ensure effective cost control and change management as well as appropriate and early action once aims are not met in order to achieve schedule, cost and quality.


Requirements

  • Master or Diploma degree in Engineering preferred with focus on Industrial/Infrastructure Automaton, with longstanding professional experience in global projects delivery with knowledge of current automation landscape and its weaknesses as well as in compliance aspects of automation systems (FDA & EMA Audits)
  • Good Understanding of manufacturing, building & infrastructure processes and project management
  • Leadership skills, strong objective focus, vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge in track record in implementing technologies and realizing business benefit in a global/regional environment (including different cultures)
  • Risk Management and Problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, English and German fluent
