An excellent permanent role has opened at a clinical stage biopharmaceutical organisation with the unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, highly motivated, multidisciplinary, and collegial team. Our client is looking for a Program Manager to strengthen their highly motivated Program Management-Team. This role can be remote inside or outside of Germany, within EU, or onsite in Heidelberg.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to lead the Joint Program Team of a partnered early stage development program within a matrix organisation and close collaboration with the external partner.
  • Coordinate, plan and monitor together with the external partner all program-related activities by providing an integrated program plan.
  • Drive the development and strategy of the development program in close collaboration with the Project Leader, Non-clinical Development and the external partner.
  • Provide leadership to the cross-functional team ensuring proper execution of the development program.
  • Responsible for the management of operational aspects (e.g. budget tracking, project plan, defined workstreams) of the assigned development program.
  • Work pro-actively with team members to ensure execution of program plan, in time, budget and quality and in adherence with Program Governance; pro-actively resolve potential issues in close collaboration with functions and the external partner.
  • Communicate with the cross functional team on planning, monitoring, managing and reporting program budget and serve as interface with finance/controlling; provide budget updates as requested, including scenarios/analyses.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation of research and development activities and implementation of tools to facilitate program execution and collaboration within the program team.
  • Organise and actively participate in program team meetings, including meeting preparation and recording of minutes, and tracking of action items, deliverables and team decisions.
  • Any other assigned duties.

Key Skills:

  • Ability to work in a highly structured and organised manner.
  • Professional working proficiency in German and English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player and collaborative mindset.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Life Sciences (preferably PhD, PharmD, MD or equivalent).
  • At least 2-5 years' experience in program/project management in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficient in project management practices and tools, including project controlling.
  • Experience in working in a cross-functional environment.
  • Proficient user of MS Office applications incl. MS Project.
