Junior USP Scientist

My client is very innovative and fast-growing biotechnology company in the Western part of Germany, now looking for a Junior USP Scientist to join their international team.

Position Description

• Work on the continuous development and optimization of the production platforms
• Conducting experiments according to SOPs or GPs and document the work according to quality control guidelines
• Write project plans, scientific reports, and SOPs
• Participate in laboratory maintenance tasks
• Project management of customer projects as well as internal projects
• Work in multidisciplinary project teams
• Evaluate data and communicate experimental results in internal and external meetings

Position Requirements

• You hold a master or a doctorate degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Bioprocessing Engineering or equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of mammalian cell culture and sterile liquid handling techniques
• 5+ years of experience with bioprocessing
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in upstream process development, particularly with:
  • Cultivation of suspension mammalian cells (fermentation is acceptable)
  • Stirred-tank bioreactor systems
  • Virus production
• Experience in project management
• Proficient in English (spoken and written)
• Basic-Intermediate German knowledge
