We are looking for an 'Operational Support Lead' to join Building Operations and Services (BOS) Support Team at our Melbourne site. This team provides support services to the R&D facilities and the BOS departments at CSL Melbourne site. Reporting to the Associate Director, Building Operations & Services, you will direct and manage activities of the BOS Operational Support Team to provide high quality, user focused support services to the BOS department and to the wider R&D and site facilities. You will oversee the strategic planning for the department and provide leadership support to the BOS Operational Support team.

We are looking for an 'Operational Support Lead' to join Building Operations and Services (BOS) Support Team at our Melbourne site. This team provides support services to the R&D facilities and the BOS departments at CSL Melbourne site. Reporting to the Associate Director, Building Operations & Services, you will direct and manage activities of the BOS Operational Support Team to provide high quality, user focused support services to the BOS department and to the wider R&D and site facilities. You will oversee the strategic planning for the department and provide leadership support to the BOS Operational Support team.
The Role:
- Lead contract management for the Building Operations & Support department, including IFM contracts, FSS / PSS contracts and lab maintenance contracts.
- Manage the execution of soft services (e.g. cleaning, waste, gowns etc.) under the IFM contract and report issues following work authorization and KPIs
- Accountable for the warehouse and loading bay operations and movement of goods services
- Responsible for R&D ordering services including the consolidated consumables and chemicals services.
- Accountable for departmental safety, including but not limited to permit management, safety equipment management and risk assessment development.
- Lead development of Operational Support strategy for the Building Operations & Services department.
- Negotiate/set/approve annual Workplan Objectives for the BOS Operational Support team, group leaders and other key staff of the department.
- Apply the resources of the department in compliance with CSL and Divisional policies, applicable government regulations and the facility licence conditions issued by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
- Manage the human, financial and physical resources of the department to support and meet the quality and commercial goals of the Division.
- Work closely with the managers of the Division, and corporate officers, to achieve an efficient, cohesive operation.
- Ensure CSL health and safety procedures and business policies are followed including performing EHS Risk Assessments.
Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Science, Engineering or related field)
- 10+ years of similar industry experience with more than 5 years' experience managing a small team.
- Knowledge of GLP, GMP and ICH guidelines
- Experience in change control, deviation management and technical writing
- Knowledge of stability trials, monitoring of critical utilities, environmental monitoring, and analytical method validation
- Ability to handle many projects simultaneously and integrate project planning efforts across departments
- Excellent stakeholder focus and collaborative mindset, ability to inspire others and exemplifying CSL employee brand and values
- Flexible working hours (role may include some late night/international teleconferences)
