The Associate Director, Global Critical Safety Systems is accountable for development, deployment and governance of core technical environment, health and safety (EHS) processes and standards across all CSL/Seqirus units. You will help ensure global program understanding, and implementation. You will collaborate as part of the Global EHS team, reporting into a member of the EHS Global Leadership Team

Responsibilities

Develop standards and processes to support sites and departments in managing EHS compliance obligations and risks; maintain applicable ensuring technology applications.

Provide supporting tools that allow a consistent application to guide and support internal communication & execution efforts.

Support the development and strategic planning for the successful implementation, compliance, and maintenance of core technical EHS programs (i.e., Electrical Safety, Confined Space Entry, Lockout Tagout.

Establish and guide EHS change management process across the organization.

Help develop wholistic operating mechanisms required for global EHS Governance against policies, strategy, requirements and goals. Conducting and monitoring of global EHS and Management System audits; Develop system audit criteria.

Establish benchmarks to qualify company excellence "beyond" company walls. Provide creative, achievable and practical solutions to Operations

Develop Global EHS training and communication strategy in partnership with team members.

Coach and teach investigation skills, root cause analysis and CAPA's at all levels

Sustainment and improvement of EHS management systems to implemented sites including support of regulatory or internal EHS audits.

Manage prioritization of updates and "roll outs" to prevent overloading sites with multiple simultaneous updates.

Provide leadership and act as the subject matter expert on important EHS programs (LOTO, PTW) across the organization.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering or equivalent, advanced degree preferred with at least 7 years of EHS or related experience in a biotech/pharmaceutical environment

Experience

  • Well versed in EHS management systems such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience with the implementation and sustainment of EHS compliance on a global scale.
  • Experience in PSM, SIF Prevention PtW System is required.


Experience in EHS compliance, EHS risk management and development of EHS programs (LOTO, waste, wastewater, air pollution, biodiversity, pharmaceuticals in the environment).
