- This Regional Sales Manager position will manage 8 Territory Managers & 1 Clinical Specialist in the South of Sydney, to ACT, and will be responsible for exceeding sales targets.
- The role will develop and implement sales plans to ensure marketing plans and strategic objectives are met and develop and execute a monthly performance and development coaching plan and identify sales training needs and develop ongoing sales training plan.
- You will spend individual days in field with all members of the team each month to identify framework for coaching and mentoring.
- You will develop customer value-based proposals with the clinical educator and wider business team and work with the KAM team to align sales team on execution of pre and post tender activities.
- You will identify major tenders, contracts and pricing agreements for your region and ensure your team has clarity around the actions required to drive business growth.
- Responsible for recruitment and selection of team members and preparing induction plans for each recruit.
- Identify potential new KOLs/hospital accounts and related clinicians and prospects who make buying decisions and build relationships with them to grow market share and revenue targets.
- A related university qualification is desirable, in business, science, nursing or marketing.
- Previous experience in a similar role, with a medical consumables/devices or pharma sales leader background, with strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to lead by example and develop robust relationships with hospitals and key accounts.
- Very comfortable selling and leading the way to show your team how it’s done through being in-field at least 3 days a week, motivating, empowering and inspiring your people.
- Preferably a comprehensive understanding of the hospital and out-of-hospital markets in Australia.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- The ability to mix both attention to detail, while having the ability to create a vision for the ‘big picture’.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical clinical information.
- Confident user of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with interpreting and understanding financial information is desirable.
