POSITION, PURPOSE and PRODUCT

Eli Lilly Australia is entering a period of unprecedented growth with new products launched and more to come in 2022 and beyond. Driving a significant proportion of this future growth are new Biologic products in new therapy areas for Lilly within Immunology.

The Immunology Sales Team includes Representatives across Australia promoting brands for the treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Axial Spondylitis & Psoriasis. The early launch phase has yielded excellent results already and there is significant growth opportunity with the current and future portfolio in this field. This is an opportunity to join a key specialty team in Immunology with exciting current launch brands and new indications to come.

Key to your success in this role will be your ability to engage and build meaningful customer relationships in the Rheumatology therapy area, demonstrate in-depth scientific and clinical expertise of your products, operate with outstanding cross functional skills and teamwork.

This role will report directly to the National Sales Manager and will have close interaction with the marketing and medical teams. Â

It is an expectation of this role that there will be regular travel to service customers and to attend business meetings. Regular interstate & regional travel will be required. The role will involve some evening and weekend work attending company and industry meetings.

TERRITORY: This Rheumatoid Arthritis focused Specialty Sales role is based in Victoria West (Melbourne). The products and territories may change from time to time depending on business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES & ACCOUNTABILTIES
  • Understand customer needs through proficient use of Value Based Selling and Institutional Selling (as you will be seeing both hospital-based customers and customers in their private rooms)
  • Understand and clearly communicate product and clinical material with credibility and confidence and ensure your clinical expertise remains current and in line with company requirements
  • Develop and successfully execute your Territory Business Plan (which will include plans for your assigned hospital accounts and the HCPs and account stakeholders within these accounts)
  • Plan and implement programs within the territory to create awareness for your product. These will be multi-channel programs including face to face and virtual/e-interactions
  • Ensure financial and commercial analysis of the territory is effective and appropriate; manage the territory to maintain profitability
  • Ensure KOL and TL action plan for the territory is supported in field
  • Operate with high integrity with customers at all times, including adherence to the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and Lilly’s internal ethical processes and policies

Prior Knowledge or Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience and strong success in a Specialty Sales role with similar complexity in Pharma industry is essential
  • Previous selling experience in a clinical/hospital setting is essential
  • Sound knowledge of Immunology/Rheumatology market and customer base is strongly preferred but not essential
