Senior Manufacturing Area Manager

The Opportunity

CSL Behring Australia is undergoing extensive and positive change as we expand and grow. In addition to contributing to Australia's export economy, CSL has invested and continues to invest in substantial new manufacturing facilities to support our global strategy and provide the network with crucial supply of product sourced from our Melbourne facility.

Due to an internal promotion, a position is available in our Commercial Filling area for a Senior Manufacturing Area Manager. Managing state of the art aseptic filling lines, you will be responsible for a critical area of our site and passionately lead and develop a team.

The Role

Reporting to the Director for Filling Operations your responsibilities will include:

• Lead a motivated team with safety at the heart of everything you do
• Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement with a patient focussed approach
• Coach & mentor direct reports & production team members to adhere to all production activities and to meet the master production schedule and business needs
• Strive to meet department daily, weekly and strategic targets across Safety, Quality, Reliability, Innovation and People
• Play a leading role in identifying lean manufacturing opportunities and equipping your team and other key stakeholders to drive 'waste' out of the operation
• Build and maintain strong lateral relationships with internal stakeholders who will collaboratively support your area's business needs and objectives

Your skills and experience

• Experience leading manufacturing or supporting operations in achieving operational targets (safety, quality, manufacturing, cost and engineering)
• Strong know-how and experience in aseptic processing
• Experience within a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing environment involving operational line management
• Experience in change management, strong people leader, and an ability to inspire and motivate
• Tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline
