Large Pharma Group recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their management team in Mascot. Permanent.

Your new company
A well known pharmaceutical brand with sites across Australia is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their Commercial Finance team located in Mascot.

Your new role
Working with the Commercial Manager, this role offers great training, development and experience in all aspects of monthly reporting, annual financial accounting processes and involvement in new systems implementation.
Key duties will include:

• Initial focus on month end processes, Accounts Payable and Cashflow analysis and reporting
• Balance Sheet and General Ledger reconciliations
• Profit and Loss Reports by team
• Journal Entries
• Data integrity analysis during rollout of new system
• Fixed Assets Register
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Internal Management Reports

What you'll need to succeed

• This permanent role would suit an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant who is looking for a career move into an experienced Finance Management team within this large retail Pharma business.
• Ideally someone looking to move from chartered / professional services into a commercial organisation or an Accounts Assistant from a retail or financial services organisation who is looking to get more involved with financial accounting, analysis and reporting
• Good communication skills and confidence dealing with people as this role works closely with senior managers across the business who you will be supporting with financial information and reports
• Strong Excel and an interest in systems / process improvement
