The Role:
In the role of Accounts Payable & Procurement Partner, you will take full ownership and responsibility of all aspects of the accounts payable & procurement, and travel and expense management for the Australia & New Zealand legal entities, ensuring that Takeda policies and procedures are followed and that the accounting complies with appropriate GAAP and taxation laws including:
- Ensure timely processing of invoices in the procurement system, arranging payment runs and maintaining accuracy and compliance of financial data into SAP
- Partner with external stakeholders to proactively manage and resolve vendor queries
- Partner with regional procurement to ensure that best practices are being adopted for the local organization
- Strive for continuous process improvements and innovation to provide the most efficient and streamlined procurement process for the business
- Partner with the local organization to ensure the appropriate level of training is provided, and that systems and processes are fit for purpose
- Proactively support the local business, resolving their queries and being the local Accounts Payable & Procurement Champion
- Review and process employees travel and expense claims, and manage and administer the Employee Corporate Card, Central Travel and Purchasing Card Programs
- Maintain and be the local super user for the Master Data system, and provide support and training to the business, as required
- Ensure accuracy in the month-end closing journals and reporting process
- Be responsible for the month end Auto PO accruals system, ensuring accuracy in the data, and that support is provided to the business
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive professional experience performing full function accounts payable duties
- Demonstrated ability to analyses problems and create solutions
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
- Proven ability to use initiative and drive to achieve results
