The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Technical Trainer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Routine Systems Manager and based at our Broadmeadows Facility you will deliver training to the manufacturing teams which covers curricula common across the manufacturing organisation, including manufacturing induction and the delivery of manufacturing fundamental principle training to support on the job specific training and understanding. Working with the Instructional Designer within the Operational Services group this position will promote best practice and the delivery of training will help drive performance and change.

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Role

  • Deliver the training programs and ensure they are effective
  • Manage the casual induction program including the agenda and partnering with subject matter experts to deliver ILT sessions
  • Determine the delivery of training and help create a training calendar
  • Collaborate with senior managers on availability of teams to participate and help deliver the training modules and training programs
  • Receive feedback on training delivered, modify, adjust and retrain if necessary
  • Ensure curriculum / training requirements are appropriate and efficient and maintained to meet best practice, industry and regulatory expectations
  • Run reports and provide analysis where required


Your skills and experience
  • Tertiary Qualification in Sciences, Engineering, Education, Psychology or equivalent is desirable
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment will be highly regarded
  • 2 years manufacturing experience (R&D, Tech Services, Quality or Manufacturing) in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or biological industry
  • 3+ years of experience managing technical learning services in a manufacturing or industrial services environment with high levels of regulation
  • Demonstrated understanding of cGMP, regulatory requirements and relevant environmental, health and safety requirements as applicable to manufacturing
  • Prior technical training experience with an ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience with learning styles and how to deliver optimal training
  • Prior experience in Learning Management Systems will be highly regarded
