The Opportunity

As part of Health and Injury Management team, this role has accountability for providing specialist occupational health advice and services. You'll work as part of a team achieving effective management of risk, continuous improvement across Environmental Health and Safety and drive positive cultural change.

The Role

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Health and Injury Management. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering early intervention injury management, management of non-work related injuries and occupational rehabilitation
  • Providing early injury/illness management for employees and contractors, referring to other health professionals as required
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implement agreed actions to achieve improved delivery of health centre programs and services
  • As part of the EHS team, contributing to strategic projects including reviewing injury statistics and reports for preventative action measures
  • Conducting manual handling training sessions and other training sessions as determined by EH&S
  • Assisting with other programs such as wellbeing program, pre-employment medical program, first aid program, and injury prevention programs

Your skills and experience
  • At least 3 years experience within an occupational health or related environment (such as onsite occupational health, safety and/or rehabilitation provider)
  • You are a suitably qualified health professional OR have experience in a claims management/workers compensation role
  • Experience as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist or Registered Nurse would be highly regarded
  • Experience designing and implementing wellbeing programs
  • Ideally you'll have injury management experience in an organisational setting
