CSL Behring is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst that will be a key strategic business partner to a growing operations facility in Melbourne, Australia. This is a newly created role to support business growth, and will work within the Finance business partnering, product cost team, and collaborate closely with the manufacturing operation to ensure accurate product costing, and contribute to the develop of improved analytics and insights that will drive better business decisions.
The ideal candidate has finance experience within a manufacturing setting (preferably pharmaceutical or FMCG), has a strong understanding of product costing, and a demonstrated ability to drive efficiencies as a business partner through reporting and insights.

CSL Behring is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst that will be a key strategic business partner to a growing operations facility in Melbourne, Australia. This is a newly created role to support business growth, and will work within the Finance business partnering, product cost team, and collaborate closely with the manufacturing operation to ensure accurate product costing, and contribute to the develop of improved analytics and insights that will drive better business decisions.
The ideal candidate has finance experience within a manufacturing setting (preferably pharmaceutical or FMCG), has a strong understanding of product costing, and a demonstrated ability to drive efficiencies as a business partner through reporting and insights.
Key responsibilities are to:
- Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain operations to develop product cost inputs required for Budget process
- Drive reporting and insights to understand manufacturing variances, and communicate this to operations to support better decisions
- Work with master data governance team to streamline process and improve accuracy of product costing efforts
- Perform analysis of costing results, resolving costing run errors
- Contribute to providing financial analysis and reporting to internal customers with additional narratives, insights, and comments to assist managers to meet and exceed their performance targets.
- Provide inputs for and initial review of month-end variance calculation, reporting & journal entries related to specific aspects of product costing.
- Support methods to build levels of financial acumen at the site
The suitable candidate:
- An ability to engage with diverse stakeholders at varying levels within the organisation
- Sound judgment, strong analytical capabilities, learning agility, drive for results, teamwork, and self-motivation
- Has a Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting / allied degree with CA or CPA
- Proven business partnering experience is essential
- Minimum 5 years of Finance experience, within a manufacturing environment preferable
- SAP Systems knowledge or similar ERP
- High level of expertise with Excel and Powerpoint
