JOB SUMMARY
The successful applicant will provide a high level of Applications and Technical Support to the Molecular Diagnostic customers. This includes training on all instrument platforms, helping customer setup of assays, trouble-shooting any Molecular related queries as well as supporting Microbiology and Specimen management portfolios.

ROLE/DESCRIPTION
- Using your exceptional technical knowledge of Molecular Biology and microbiology in establishing and maintaining strong relationships within each NZ customer account.
- Achieving revenue and profit targets through utilising Salesforce and SPI methods of strategic selling for the development and execution of sales opportunities across NZ.
- Serve as main point of contact for applications, and provide technical consultations and tailored solutions for all customer related queries
- Demonstrate the use and advantage of technology and instrumentation to existing and new customers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pathology practices, scientific discoveries, and emerging competitor technology, towards providing technical information to customers as required.
- Tailor, plan, and coordinate service programs to support both customer practices and product use.
- Identify and report potential leads for the Life Sciences instruments and reagents of products in Clinical Laboratories, Research institutions and universities in Australia and New Zealand.
- Review and preparation of Training Materials for customers and technical specialists.
- Adhere to the requirements of the Quality Management System.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3 - 5 years of laboratory experience in operating Molecular instrumentation in either and Microbiology/molecular Laboratory or Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory.
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent as a minimum.
- Thorough knowledge of diagnostics
- Self-motivated and results driven, with ability to work autonomously
- Strong problem-solving ability and solutions focused
- Demonstrated computer literacy, alongside excellent communication skills
- High business acumen and commercial awareness
- Demonstrated business acumen and commercial skills highly desirable.
