Eye ContactBody language is just as important in job interviews as what you say, and eye contact is an especially important part of body language that you can’t afford to ignore.

Maintaining a comfortable level of eye contact with your interviewer can help to build rapport and establish trust. When they’re talking, eye contact will show that you’re engaged in what they’re saying, and genuinely interested in the conversation. When you’re talking, eye contact will show confidence and certainty in what you’re saying, and can also help to keep them engaged in the conversation too.

You don’t want to stare at your interviewer throughout the entire conversation, so do take breaks when you’re thinking over an answer, remembering to reconnect when you’ve got your thoughts together.
