Which Contact Details in Your CV?One of the biggest mistakes you can make when applying for a job is making it difficult for recruiters to contact you. Especially with the life sciences job market being busier than ever, you need to make it as easy as possible for anyone reading your CV to get in touch with you and move forward with your application.

At the top of your CV and underneath your full name, you should include:

  • A phone number: include your personal phone number and make sure your voicemail message is professional in case you can’t pick up.
  • An email address: include an email address that’s professional, and preferably not connected to your current job.

You could also include:

  • A link to your LinkedIn profile or other professional social media accounts, as long as they are active and relevant
  • A link to an online portfolio of your work/professional website

You don’t need to include your full address, especially if you’re uploading your CV online where anyone can access it. However, if a recruiter has stated they are looking for someone locally, you could include your town/county.
