Using Statistics in Your CV

Using Statistics in Your CVWhen outlining your achievements in your CV, aim to back up your most important wins with statistics that tell recruiters and hiring managers exactly what you’re capable of, and the types of results you could produce in the role you’re applying for.

For example, if you’re applying for a Sales role, talk about the impact you had on business in your previous job. Perhaps you helped to increase sales by 50% in 18 months, or you doubled your client base in your first year. Whatever it is, make your achievements shine by using statistics to relay your potential clearly and to make your application stand out.

You don’t need a number for every single achievement you list. Instead, go through the job advert and description and highlight the most important things the recruiter is looking for, and focus on these in your CV, using specific examples to set you apart from your peers.
