Hamburg, 03 June 2020 – The European Association of online pharmacies EAMSP has a new Board as of May 27. Olaf Heinrich, Head Germany on the Zur Rose Group’s Executive Board and CEO of DocMorris N.V., was elected president of the EAMSP at the association’s most recent meeting. Stefan Feltens, CEO of SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE, was re-elected as the organization’s vice president and secretary general. Joining the leadership team as new members are Vladimir Finsterle, CEO and founder of Pearls Health Cyber s.r.o., and Gianni Gasperi, CEO and co-founder of online pharmacy Viata.

Olaf Heinrich succeeds Max Müller who left the Executive Board of member company DocMorris to pursue new professional challenges. Olaf Heinrich had previously led the EAMSP for eight years until 2017; he has been CEO of DocMorris since 2009.

“I am delighted that Olaf Heinrich will be leading the association at the European level,” comments EAMSP Vice President Stefan Feltens. “Olaf Heinrich has been committed to the EAMSP for many years and together we will take the association to the next level in regard to its scope and tasks. The digitalization of the European healthcare markets is progressing dynamically. Leveraging the knowledge and experience of our international members, we will be actively shaping this process in the interest of patients.”

“My goal is to establish the association as a European think tank for e-health issues in our market and to further intensify and shape the dialogue with politics, society and business on such vital topics as access to better health, quality, sustainability and data security. Mail service pharmacies are an established supply channel for medications and therefore a key factor in the successful implementation of digital applications that offer tangible benefits for patients as well as healthcare systems,” Olaf Heinrich outlines his plans.

Profile: As the European association of innovative pharmacists, the EAMSP is empowering Europe’s patients to further improve their health when leveraging digitisation because the members of this group are pharmaceutical experts and pioneers in e-health with many years of experience and trust among customers and regulatory authorities across all their markets.
