KPMG has appointed Adrian Griffiths to head up the firm’s UK Life Sciences practice.

Adrian has more than 20 years’ business transformation experience across a broad range of sectors, and since joining KPMG in 2009 he has played a key role in leading the relationship with major pharmaceutical clients.

He is succeeding Liz Claydon, who is now leading the firm’s Deal Advisory team in the UK.

Dan Thomas, head of corporates at KPMG in the UK, comments: “Adrian will lead the team at a hugely challenging time for the pharma industry, as the pace of change continues to accelerate in the face of economic and political uncertainty. Our clients are operating in a highly-regulated environment with pricing and funding pressures, policy changes, disruptive technologies and an increased focus on data security. Adrian’s wealth of experience and vision is exactly what our clients need and will help drive our team forward in the years ahead.”
