  • Offering a pay increase would only have prevented 22% of candidates from moving on.
  • Creating a good internal development pathway and offering better promotion opportunities would have kept almost 30% of candidates in their jobs
  • The biggest issue? Leadership - 43% of candidates would have remained with their previous company if the leadership / culture of the business had been better. This is not just an issue for retention but also recruitment - people talk and it is vital to maintain a good reputation to stay ahead of your competition.
