Find yourself a mentor

Find someone who will be your mentor. A knowledgeable person who you can regularly chat to about your career and look objectively at where you're going and what you are doing in your career. 

It could be a member of your family or a friend, but preferably someone who's advice you trust. It doesn't need to be formal, but try and chat with them on a regular basis about where your career is going and what you should be doing. 

You might even find that you can be a "mentor to your mentor" - as sometimes it just helps to step back and look at your a career objectively.
