Acumentice expands senior team with Purdy appointment

London, 22 July 2020 - Acumentice, one of the UK's leading healthcare management consultancies, has announced the appointment of Philip Purdy to build on its existing reputation for providing high-quality support to the NHS.

Purdy is joining Acumentice as a senior consultant and will support the business to develop its elective care management and recovery offer as well as supporting client sites with delivery of their plans and objectives. This will involve the full range of Acumentice’s consultancy and advisory offer including service planning and recovery, and performance and data quality analytics.

Joining from NHS England, Purdy has seven years of experience in leading, assuring and consulting within elective care recovery and improvement programmes. Prior to this, he was working in operational management roles in the provider sector of the NHS. Initially, as a graduate of the NHS Management Training Scheme, these roles total 13 years’ experience working in the NHS and feature alongside a spell in policy development within a central government department. Purdy is an established subject matter expert on key areas including demand and capacity modelling, recovery planning and information reporting and KPI development with considerable experience in developing and delivering education and training with a full range of staff groups.

Commenting on the news, Purdy said, “My career to date has been focused on supporting the NHS to deliver timely, high-quality care which recognises the experience of those patients waiting to be seen. This purpose does not change as I join Acumentice. In fact, the sector faces huge challenges in the coming months and years and will need expert, efficient and economical support to help navigate this period.”
